Our Fall 2014 Collection: My Top Picks

One of the perks of being a designer is getting to wear my pieces as soon as they're created. It's a bit of a teaser for customers when I'm wearing a design that catches their eye ("It's part of the upcoming collection..."), plus it allows me to see what jewels people react to, before they go to market. This said, while I'm always proud of all of the designs that make a collection's final cut (and not all of them do), there are some pieces that strike a special chord and that make their way into my personal collection of jewellery.

Here are some of my top picks from the new Fall '14 collection:

Gaia Necklace - $105
Daybreak Bracelet - $70
Alamo Necklace - Rose Gold - $78
Soleil Earrings - $48

Now I'd love to know: which piece from the new collection is your favorite?? You can leave a comment below sharing your own top picks. Plus, I'll be giving one lucky customer their favorite Fall '14 design at the end of this weekend, so be sure to keep your eye on our Facebook page tomorrow (September 6th) for details on how to enter!

Leather Love

Leather Pieces We Covet
Zara tote & t-shirt, Aldo booties, Danier jacket, Gap skirt
Leather (both real and faux) is huge this Fall, whether it be in the form of small embellishments, a fab accessory, or worn as a larger statement piece (how gorgeous is this skirt?!). This lambskin leather jacket is one of my personal wardrobe staples, and these are a few of my other "currently coveting" leather items.

What do you think of the current leather trend? Are there any items you have your sights set on?

Fresh Start

I have to admit, being a small business owner with a full-time career means sometimes my "to-do's" become "no time to do." Regular blog posts have been one of those things, and aside from the whole lack of time problem (I can just add more hours to the day, can't I??), having a blog format that is easily navigable while appeasing my aesthetic sensibilities has been another issue. While I am generally happy with the look and feel of the Keltie Leanne Designs website, my previous blog left a bit to be desired (read: I thought it was ugly). This all being said, I have been finding that the business really didn't have a good platform for communicating news, info and ideas with our customers. Facebook and Twitter are great for short-term sharing, but I wanted a place to share content and express ideas on an on-going basis.

I'm so excited to have this shiny new blog as a place for sharing my styling ideas, new designs, Keltie Leanne events and more! I would love to hear your thoughts and ideas on what you've love to see on the new blog, so please drop me a comment or an email with your feedback!
